"I am from Vancouver, BC, Canada and I’ve had the privilege of cruising on the M.S. Wolf on 3 different occasions along the Willamette River. Not only is M.S. Wolf totally charming but so is Captain Bruce Hebeler.
I love this little boat, cruising along seeing kayakers, tubers, dragon boaters, swimmers, sailors, etc. and best of all, waving to envious onlookers of this ancient little vessel. I hope to book more trips on the M.S. Wolf.
Be sure to bring a bottle of Oregon wine or famed local Portland beer, a baguette, some good cheese and fixings and enjoy! Oh and some sunscreen or raincoat. This is a great experience rain or shine!"
Anne from Vancouver BC, CANADA
"I would like to thank Captain Bruce for my recent memorable private charter on the Willamette River. The M.S. Wolf is a beautiful boat reminiscent of the Popeye cartoons of my youth. When we went by the Waterfront Park people were waving like we were celebrities.
I especially enjoyed traveling on the water at a reasonable speed, which gave time to see the sights…eagles in the Ross Island area, boats and houses along the riverbank and cliffs. My favorites during our charter were the old water works building and the Cessna 182 Skylane on a floating dock. Nothing to block the view except when I turned around and saw that charming wooden boat cabin with the Popeye portholes.
I am heartily recommending a cruise to all my friends and family. In fact, I'm sending a gift for a cruise to my daughter and her fiancé when they come to visit from out of town."

"I've had the great fortune of taking a tour on the M.S. Wolf whenever I come to the Portland area. This historic little gillnetter is so much fun! A mini adventure. Captain Bruce, a salty, knowledgeable, seaman at the helm, has a long history on the river and can share cool facts about it's development and the bridges, if you're interested. I’ve discovered they have limited times and fill up fast, so I suggest booking early."

"As soon as I stepped onto the M.S. WOLF, I knew I was in for a treat. The entertaining crew put the passengers at ease and created a pleasant camaraderie for all of us on board. Taking in views of mansions and nature while gliding up front and feeling safe as Captain Bruce was at the helm at the back, made me take a deep breath, glad for a chance to relax."Jane A
"Being on the M.S. Wolf is a rare treat not to be missed. Not only is Captain Bruce a knowledgeable and interesting guide, but his beautifully restored boat gives a wonderful perspective from the water. You are allowed to bring your own food and drinks aboard which lends itself to a romantic way to spend time with someone very special to you. It is unique. It is historic. It is peaceful. It is worth booking for a memory of a lifetime."Julie and Steve
Spending time on the M.S. Wolf is special adventure. Captain Bruce is quite a character. Sunscreen, favorite beverage, and friends made this ride feel like I was spending time on the deck of someone’s amazing second home. I thought, “Just sit back and relax. I have nowhere else I would rather be at this moment. I’m on ‘river time’.” Kristin L
"The M.S. Wolf is not a fast jet boat. Instead you get a nice slow cruise on the Willamette river and get to take in the sights of Portland from an angle most people never get to experience. It's also a great way to meet new friends!"Pete S
"A voyage on M.S. Wolf has something for EVERYONE who enjoys relaxing and decompressing on the water! I loved seeing Portland from the unique river vantage point, cruising along at a steady speed up front admiring eagle's nests, and gawking at the special houseboats, historical buildings, and striking mansions, all along the Willamette. The whole afternoon turned out to be just plain great for the soul.Highly recommended for anyone who wants to unplug from day-to-day life ---- even just for a few hours."

"Until you have experienced the city from the river, you haven't seen Portland! Moments after sighting wildlife on the shore, we were enjoying the city sights of Portland from the great vantage point on the M.S. Wolf. We enjoyed each other’s company as we also enjoyed our own onboard picnic/beverages of choice."Jan W
"Thank you Captain Bruce for a fabulous afternoon on the river! Your boat is so darned cute and comfy. I kept wanting to shout "Toot Toot!" or sing "I'm Popeye the Sailor Man" as others pointed and smiled at your beautiful, unique boat. It was a great way to see the city and realize how close Portland still is to nature."

"Cruising on the M.S Wolf is the most relaxing way to enjoy the sights and sounds the Willamette River abundantly offers. Our craft drew many nods and thumbs up of approval. We had a sense of what the early fishermen must have felt without having to attend the nets!
We were fortunate to see bald eagles soaring as well as a sea lion playing just yards from us. We brought our own bottle of the local Pinot and craft cheese to enjoy while we were in the sure hands of the captain. It was cool to see Portland's many bridges from below. Awesome! This was the most memorable part of our trip to the Pacific Northwest. "
